The controller runs a set program each milking. Weekly schedule below.

Monday: AM Hot Alkali (P1), PM Cold Acid (P2).

Tuesday: AM Hot Acid (P3), PM Cold Acid (P4).

Wednesday: AM Hot Acid (P5), PM Cold Acid (P6).

Thursday: AM Hot Acid (P7), PM Cold Acid (P8).

Friday: AM Hot Acid (P9), PM Cold Acid (P10).

Saturday: AM Hot Acid (P11), PM Cold Acid (P12).

Sunday: AM Hot Acid (P13), PM Cold Acid (P14).

Pattern: one hot wash each morning (alkali on Monday, acid the rest of the week), and a cold acid wash every afternoon. The controller doses and recycles automatically.

Normal use: all taps along the front of the calf pens off (up is off); milk tap on (tap 1); milk pump on at the wall switch. Always turn it off at the wall when finished.

Weekly flush of the milk lines: pump off; milk tap off (tap 1); drain the pipes into buckets; high-pressure water tap on (tap 2); open the pen taps one at a time to flush; high-pressure tap off (tap 2); drain; close the pen taps; milk tap back on (tap 1).
